GBHO Mission

Our mission is to provide a common platform for the Hindu Bhutanese/Nepali diaspora to collaborate in preserving and promoting Vedic Sanatan Dharma. This is achieved through intellectual, spiritual, linguistic, and cultural activities, upholding the values of dignity, mutual respect, and unity among diverse communities.


GBHO Vision

Our vision is to realize the potential of the Hindu Bhutanese/Nepali diaspora through active participation and engagement in social, religious, cultural, linguistic, and spiritual activities.


Responsibilities of a GBHO Volunteer

As a volunteer for GBHO, I agree to assist and support the organization as needed, including the following:

  1. Attending meetings, community events, and functions as a representative of GBHO.
  2. Advocating the mission and vision of GBHO in the community through educational and interactive activities.
  3. Responding to requests from the Board of Directors as needed.
  4. Participating in GBHO meetings and training sessions.
  5. Supporting the organization in event planning and maintaining a positive standing in the community.
  6. Receiving a formal welcome letter or introduction from the lead Director or Board Chair.
  7. Accessing resources and training to build advocacy, organizing, and communication skills.
  8. Receiving mentorship from experienced Dharmik leaders and young leaders.
  9. Supporting the Board of Directors in planning and executing activities and communications relevant to your respective department.

The Commitments of GBHO

  1. Serving the people of Bhutanese/Nepali origin and others in the US and abroad to preserve, develop, and promote Sanatan Hindu Dharma.
  2. Providing support to those of the Hindu faith in desperate need of help.
  3. Promoting a holistic approach to spiritual wellness through Yoga and community-based group therapy.
  4. Facilitating the resolution of conflicts related to Hindu rituals, practices, and traditions.
  5. Encouraging the teaching of Sanskrit and Nepali languages for future generations to uphold Sanatan Hindu Dharma.
  6. Fostering peace, happiness, religious tolerance, harmony, and prosperity within the Bhutanese/Nepali diaspora and local communities.
  7. Adhering to local, state, and federal laws governing not-for-profit organizations.
